Join Mouse from “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” as he decorates all the pumpkins in the patch.
If you give a mouse a cookie, it’d better be pumpkin flavored when Halloween comes around! Mouse is such an adorable guy. I enjoyed watching him decorate pumpkins and mimic their emotions. He’s a bit of a messy artist too, as you can see with how the setup changes with each pumpkin. This is an adorable book that young children will enjoy. Heck, my friend and I both enjoyed reading it, and we’re college students! (Whacky, fun-loving, silly college students, I concede.)

Mia and her best friends are going to be matching ballerinas for Halloween. Matching pink ballerinas, that is But when Ruby wants to be green and Anna wants to be blue, things get a little . . . colorful Can the tutu-tastic friends get their costumes together before it’s time to trick or treat?
I love this book for the stickers. I’m not going to play with them because I’ll be giving these books away to children, but I’m going to say this now. I love stickers, and little kids will love the stickers just as much, or more. This book is not only a fun Halloween book that children will enjoy, it also teaches them about compromising. You can’t always get your way, especially when you want to work together with friends, so it’s important to learn how to collaborate on a project. Just make sure to do it faster than these girls. I highly doubt you can prepare costumes in less than a day, though I am glad Mia and her friends worked everything out and everyone ended up happy.
Just Say Boo!

If three dinosaurs roar when you open your door, what do you say?
“Boo ” of course In this charmingly spooky story by Susan Hood, little trick-or-treaters learn just what to say in every Halloween situation. From rattling bones to ghostly footsteps, Susan captures all the best scares of the season–and teaches just the right way to dispel fears in favor of fun. Jed Henry’s lustrous watercolors add the perfect crisp chill to this fall-weather story.
For if a skeleton groans as she rattles her bones, what do you say?
This is my favorite of the three Halloween children’s books I received from Harper Collins for review, and I think it was actually meant for a younger audience than the other two. Being the whacky, fun-loving person that I am, I highly enjoyed this book. Susan Hood presents us with various situations to say “Boo!” and other Halloween-related words in a fun and highly entertaining way that parents and their young children will enjoy reading together. Because we come to expect the word “Boo,” I had even more fun when a different word came up, and I’m sure that young children will find it as entertaining as I did. If you only read one out of all three of these books, let it be this one. I love it, and my friend recommends it too. It is so much fun!

My daughter LOVES Halloween books! I don't like to buy them because they are really only appealing around Halloween, but man, they ones she really loves to obsess over! These ones look really cute! I think she'd love Mia: Time to Trick or Treat! the most. Yes, she loves stickers too!

Halloween books are so much fun, aren't they? Interactive ones like Mia: Time to Trick or Treat! are especially great for kids. I'm taking a Developmental Psychology class right now, and it stress the importance of interaction in children's growth.
