On a misty cliffside, mystery and romance await. . . .
Ivy Calhoun’s life has been turned upside down. Her new stepdad has uprooted Ivy and her mom, bringing them to live in an actual castle in the misty Scottish countryside. There are stone-faced servants and shadowy corridors, and the ancient walls seem full of secrets. Ivy is at once frightened and intrigued.
Especially when she meets Logan, a gorgeous, elusive ghost who has haunted the castle grounds for decades. Ivy is immediately drawn to him . . . but Logan is not the only spirit around. Something dark and deadly is afoot, and soon Ivy finds herself in mortal danger.
Is Logan exactly what he seems? Could his mysterious past be tied to Ivy’s present? And can Ivy stop herself from falling in love with him?
A true paranormal romance, Forevermore is about how Ivy falls in love with Logan, befriends Logan’s living relatives, and solves the mystery behind Logan’s death. I really enjoyed watching Ivy and Logan grow to love each other and how well the two work together. What makes it even better is the mysterious Scottish Highlands setting. The author does a great job describing the Highland, and I can picture the gloomy castle and the enchanting cliffside.
Ivy Calhoun is the most likable character. Though she doesn’t really know her step-father Niall MacAllister, her step-grandmother Lady Elizabeth doesn’t want her there, and another unseen voice keeps telling her to leave, she is a gutsy girl who decides to make the most of her new life. She also isn’t afraid to fight for her beliefs. Despite being warned of evil in the castle that wants to get rid of her and her mother, she chooses to confront it. I especially like how she doesn’t try to do everything on her own like other teenagers would in her situation; she’ll ask for help when she needs it.
On the other hand, I feel as though I didn’t really get to know the love interest. I know that Logan has been trapped wandering the moors for two hundred years oblivious to how he died and why he is trapped in the castle. However, I never really got to know his past or Logan himself in detail. I wish that the story were longer, so I could get to know Logan better.
Forevermore is a romantic story filled with castles, ghosts, and intrigue. I love the twist in the story and how things turns out. The ending is one that paranormal romance lovers will like to see. Overall, it is very sweet and touching story, and the short length makes for a quick, enjoyable summer read.

Author: alice
Alice is a stay-at-home mom of two children. Her favorite books are those send icy tingles down her spine, such as a good mystery or thriller, but she also enjoys a good hear-throbbing romance. She enjoys listening to music and drinking a cup of tea while reading and working.

I thought this book was cute enough but I wanted so much more from it especially since I adore ghost stories so much.
