Vi has made her choice between Jag and Zenn, and the Resistance may have suffered for it. But with the Thinkers as strong as ever, the rebels still have a job to do. Vi knows better than anyone that there’s more at stake than a few broken hearts.
But there is a traitor among them…and the choices he makes could lead to the total destruction of everything Vi has fought for.
Vi, Jag, and Zenn must set their problems aside for the Resistance to have any hope of ending the Thinkers’ reign. Their success means everything…and their failure means death.
Tell us a little about yourself and how you got into writing.
What inspired you to write Possession and when did you know it was going to be a trilogy?
Possession was intended as a standalone, but I knew it was being developed into a trilogy by August of 2010. I wrote Surrender (the sequel) that September, and Abandon the following fall (2011).
It’s wonderful how one idea can inspire another. What has been your favorite part of the writing process?
You’ve been really lucky with your Possession covers. They’re gorgeous! I saw in an interview that characters are important to you in a novel. With this mindset, how did you go about developing your characters?
So basically, I get all the words down, and then think about characterization and revise revise revise to make it work.
It sounds like lot of work goes into the making of a novel. Zenn or Jag. Who would you rather hang out with for a day and what would you do?
With Jag, I’d want to hoverboard over the ocean.
These are both fun ideas. I’d be tempted to request half a day with each as well. Would you be a Goodie or a Baddie and why?
Same here. I can’t help but imagine doing something when I’m told not to. What are you working on right now?
That’s exciting to hear! While I love dystopians, fantasy will always be my first love. I’m looking forward to more awesome works from you!
